KEI (48 years old) from Hyogo Pref.

Comment:

Got hooked on crane machines at game arcades. Everyone must have dreamt about trying it with a real crane car.

Excellent drawing ability! Unique setting. Many of the artworks were arranged into a crane game this time, but this one was outstanding! This is truly a work of a coloring meister!

Comment:

Mine resources are used in everyday things around us. A “load haul dump” that brings joy to us safely from pitch-dark, dangerous underground. When future children grow up, what will they create with Komatsu’s heavy machineries? I hope for a happy world.

A coloring child, a working ant, a bucket-full of flowers, and an expanding universe. A work of art that makes onlookers feel as if they are in a pleasant dream and want to keep looking at it. Look closely and notice how the logo consists of coloring pencils. Cool!

Jin (61 years old) from Tokyo

Comment:

I expressed the power of this heavy machinery. I’ve drawn in the jokamachi I grew up in, stone walls that support the castle, which remains to be the symbol of the town, and a hawk I saw at the castle.

The yellow forwarder goes great with the jokamachi! Everything is drawn and colored with a delicate touch, from the stone walls, the streetscape, the pine tree, to the expression of the hawk. An art with a Japanese spirit.

Taiheiyo umareno tsunakan (13 years old) from Fukushima Pref.

Comment:

I imagined a tractor walking through life! The background represents its life and the sun expresses how lively and bright it is. I tried to use soft shades of colors.

An art work with very beautiful soft colors, created by taking advantage of watercolor paints. The large sun is quite striking.

Koebashira (14 years old) from Fukushima Pref.

Comment:

I imagined a future car that can be used underwater. I drew many cliones because I love them.

A load haul dump in the undersea world. Expressions of the fish are very adorable. Cliones lined up at the bottom are especially cute!

Animals

Many animals came to gather around a load haul dump. A dynamic artwork with a unique composition. The light blue background leaves a strong impression.
