As use of ICT for construction equipment became more common, things like crewless dump trucks, IT execution, and KOMTRAX were further developed. Hybrid equipment that decreased both fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emission was introduced and marked a new generation of construction machines.

Compliant with the 2011 Standards for Large and Small Special Vehicles, Etc. of Emissions From Non-road Special Motor Vehicles. The same fuel efficiency is secured compared to the previous models. Furthermore, install Komatsu’s highly reputed electronically-controlled HST. The speed of the vehicle is only controlled by the axel to greatly reduce the load of the operator.

In addition, security is improved with a good field of view and by installing large pillarless ROPS cab.

It was 1949 when the first wheel loader was manufactured in Japan, however, it was not until mid 1960's when Komatsu entered the wheel loader market aligning with International Harvester. From JH series in the beginning, to the 500 series, to Komatsu's original WA series, our wheel loaders have met the needs of construction sites by scaling up, coping with the environment and adopting advanced technology such as mechatronics and IT.
