The Museum of CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT

2010 OPEN

As use of ICT for construction equipment became more common, things like crewless dump trucks, IT execution, and KOMTRAX were further developed. Hybrid equipment that decreased both fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emission was introduced and marked a new generation of construction machines.

Significantly reduces NOx and PM emissions, and conforms to the emissions regulations based on the 2014 standards of the Act on Regulations for Emissions from Non-Road Vehicles.

The FH series features the hydraulically-driven transmission called "Electronic Control HST (Hydro-Static Transmission)" and the hydraulic system that efficiently uses engine output without waste called "Variable Pump (Closed-center Load Sensing System)". In addition, by adopting a control system that enables highly sophisticated control of such features, fuel consumption during high-load work is reduced.

A machine operation tracking system KOMTRAX is equipped as a standard feature to support a wide range of vehicle management operations. A clear and easy-to-see full color multi-monitor is adopted in the vehicle, and the displaying of eco-gauge provides support for energy-saving operation.

Other Equipment OPEN

There were other construction machines built by Komatsu over the years. We can see how the various designs mirrored different eras if we look at them set against the flow of history.
