While equipment built to accommodate urban environments, by generating less noise, vibrations and emission, became more common, super sized equipment that could withstand harsh working conditions in places like giant mines were also developed.
The self-propelled crusher market had grown rapidly over the last few years, and the number of companies competing also increased to about ten.
Komatsu improved product appeal as a pioneer of self-propelled crusher. They changed the design concept completely from pre-existing models, and realized superior crushing and ease of handling by installing the new original crusher and other new features, improving the total capacity. The lineup was completed to meet various needs at demolition, road maintenance, and stone crushing sites.
Other Equipment
There were other construction machines built by Komatsu over the years. We can see how the various designs mirrored different eras if we look at them set against the flow of history.
