2000
The IT revolution had a tremendous influence on the technology of construction equipment as well. The satellite operation management system was developed during the 90's as a method to supervise and manage equipment from a remote distance, and became an industry standard during this era.
Magnum Loader was developed under the concept of "MAGNETIC NUMBER ONE LOADER" and "MAGNUM". The improved specs of the bucket capacity, ranging of engine output, and operating mass stretched the range of matching Dump trucks (wide range matching).
The newly developed hydraulic system "hydro mind system" enabled high efficiency hydraulic control, and the latest engine technology "ecot3" improved fuel consumption. Fuel efficiency was improved by 20% compared to the previous models with low fuel consumption using the capacity torque converter's low spin matching and the lockup torque converter. Loaded with Komatsu's latest technology, Magnum Loader evolved into a machine of the new generation, achieving both superior productivity and economic efficiency.
Bucket capacity: 7.0m3
Wheel loader
It was 1949 when the first wheel loader was manufactured in Japan, however, it was not until mid 1960's when Komatsu entered the wheel loader market aligning with International Harvester. From JH series in the beginning, to the 500 series, to Komatsu's original WA series, our wheel loaders have met the needs of construction sites by scaling up, coping with the environment and adopting advanced technology such as mechatronics and IT.
