Since this era, the focus of domestic demand gradually started shifting from bulldozers to hydraulic shovels. Additional considerations, such as ease of operation, also became an important aspect of design.
In competition with HD180, other manufacturers' 20 ton Dump trucks were gaining power. HD200, a 20-ton dump, was developed accommodating all the wish list items from HD180 including making the size of front and rear tires the same, making the minimum turning radius smaller, reducing the noise level, etc. This model remained popular for 10 years until it finally had its model change and became HD205.
Load capacity: 20,000kg

At mines especially, new technology is being introduced consistently even today. Enlarging the size by mechanical and electrical formulas, and adding the GPS control system are some of the examples.
